The all-wales boat show is the first ever national show of its kind. Starting up on the 24th of July and sailing on to the 18th, the show features a line-up of world-class boats along with a trove of things to do, whether you have your sea-legs or remain a landlubber, suitable for the whole family.
The celebration of all things on water is sure to bring spectacle and shine to the marinas and towns of Deganwy and conwy, with the best of boating, a wide range of water sports and other outdoor activity, along with more relaxed options.
Managing Director Davina Carey-Evans let on a bit of what we have in store: “There will be yachts fit for millionaires, the tallest ship to ever have sailed into the harbour, hand crafted traditional boats such as coracles, along with the chance to try your hand at everything from paddle boarding and sailing boats to diving”.
This is such a big event for boat owners because there hasn’t been a national event as all-encompassing as this for sailing before, bringing in sailing enthusiasts to exhibit their boats coming from far and wide, across the UK, Ireland and even as far as mainland Europe.
The boating industry along the British coastline is fervent, as expected with its island geography, and Wales’s marine sector alone generating £66.7 million alone. No matter how far inland you into wales, you’re never too far from a river, the coast or a lake so there’s plenty of opportunity for water sports.
The all wales boat show is running at the same time as the Conwy River Festival, so timing is perfect, providing an annual climax for boating in North Wales.
Anyone with even a slight interest in boats should definitely check this out, an incredible day out for all the family, with lots of interesting sights to be seen! The kind of boats on offer will really turn heads, for example like this Hanse 411 for sale, a 41′ performance sailing boat!
