Llandudno has won big in previous years on a variety of awards. Whether it’s being crowned the Queen of Welsh Resorts in late 2016, to coming 4th on Lonely Planet’s top things to see on Earth, there’s quite a lot to say for this lovely little Welsh town, and a large part of it’s successes can be attributed to the rows of beautiful Victorian Hotels in Llandudno which line the promenade. Saying that, there’s an awful lot of them, isn’t there?
We can help you with the daunting task of selecting which hotel to stay in, to get a true feel of the beauty and the stately elegance of Llandudno no matter what your budget is.
If you’re after stately Victorian beauty and an absolutely fabulously romantic theme, There is a lovely little hotel which sits on the very vaunted North Parade which receives overwhelmingly positive reviews.
The St Tudno Hotel can offer you something different from every other hotel within Llandudno, and that’s excellent décor which resembles period décor. While indeed you might be concerned if this decoration is actually from that time and only there from neglect, nothing could be further from the truth. St Tudno hotel is very clean, very cared for and very quaint, with all resemblance to the bygone Victorian era purely deliberate.
While a lot of other Llandudno hotels are very modern on the inside, the St Tudno Hotel has beautiful period features (which certainly aren’t tatty, they’re very meticulously maintained) such as Victorian wallpaper, full murals upon the walls, and also chandeliers wrapped in flowers. A very romantic hotel, which is absolutely ideal for special weekends away.
Furthermore, the St Tudno Hotel boasts a very impressive restaurant named the Terrace, which provides Michelin starred fine dining at very reasonable prices. Should your stay extend over a Friday, you’ll have the opportunity to go to one of their weekly steak nights, which other than being acclaimed as the cheapest Michelin Starred Food in Wales, is also among some of the tastiest in Llandudno.
