Bangor Christmas festival and fair celebrations begin in Bangor on 1st December and plan to go on for a week to help get locals and visitors into the cheery and festive spirit in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

A range of different ‘goings on’ include a huge range of Christmas stalls, trade stall, an ice rink, fantastic funfair, Santa’s grotto, reindeer, bouncy castles, entertainment, hog roast, carol singing and of course a fantastic fireworks display that will mark the closure of the festival on the 8th.

The big Christmas light ‘switch-on’ will be taking place tomorrow evening (1st December) after the Menai Bridge Brass Band has performed after 5pm. You’ll have to come down to experience a wonderful Christmas light occasion that will be turned on by a secret-celebrity thanks to the Embassy.

The main town is prepared for a complete festive makeover, allowing visitors to experience a wonderful festive feeling with the opportunity to take part in various activities – ranging from entertainment to Christmas shopping opportunities. The stalls that have been granted permission to set up throughout the town of Bangor are all considered to be perfect additions to the Christmas festival – meaning you can have a ‘mooch’ around for those unique gifts for your loved ones!

Take to the ice with the seasonal ice rink that is situated at the car park to the read of Valla’s chippy! Grab yourself a tasty hog roast treat to wow your taste buds, and even warm up with a nice mug of mulled wine!

The range of stalls, entertainment and the appearance from Father Christmas means that the Bangor Christmas Festival is the perfect occasion for anyone, so pop down anytime from Saturday 1st December to Sunday 8th December!
