BEAR GRYLLS LAUNCHES THE BEAR GRYLLS SURVIVAL ACADEMY HALF DAY COURSE IN NORTH WALES
The Bear Grylls Survival Academy is proud to announce the official launch of the Half Day Survival Courses in North Wales on Wednesday 13th August. Following the success of the 24hr family courses, the team is now offering lucky adventurers from across the UK a rare chance to learn Bear’s extreme survival techniques and the opportunity to take on challenges as part of a taster half day experience learning new skills in the outdoors and staying active. Bear Grylls will be attending the launch to teach participants his tips and techniques to survive in the wild.
The Half Day Survival Course will comprise of a combination of survival skills and adventure tasks set by Bear & his team. These are designed to put enrollees to the test and inspire the next generation of adventurers. Techniques taught will include learning how to build a fire, how to navigate in the wilderness, learning about natural foods, building a shelter, and learning Bear’s priorities of survival as well as taking on the challenge of completing the Escape From Cabin Wood obstacle course. The courses have been designed for families, friends and colleagues by Bear and his close team of highly trained experts. It is the perfect opportunity to share a truly memorable and fun experience.
To help deliver the course, Bear Grylls Survival Academy have joined forces with Dragon Raiders Ltd, an activity park based in North Wales. The courses are currently running at Dragon Raiders Activity Park, Llanystumdwy, Gwynedd and will cost £35 per person.
“As a father of three young boys I love sharing my survival techniques and watching them set off on their adventures together. It is not only exciting and fun but teaches them useful life and outdoor skills and what it really means to be able to look after yourself when the chips are down” says Bear Grylls.
Bear Grylls has become known around the world as the most recognized face of survival and outdoor adventure, with experience gained during his seven seasons of Man vs. Wild/Born Survivor and the many skills learnt from his time with the British Reserve Special Forces.
