Gottwood is returning once again for an exciting weekend of music and electronic arts, Gottwood has gained a great following over the years and attracted more interesting and talented acts which are increasingly diverse and entertaining.
Based on the isle of Anglesey in the remote Carrelgwld woods, the festival is known for having a peaceful and fun atmosphere.
Electronic music is something which roots started years ago and continues to evolve and adapt over time, Gottwood reflects this well by giving a wide spread of the massive umbrella genre. This year includes jungle pioneers 2 Bad Mice, House producer Ed Steele, Ben UFO, The Scribes, Extrawelt and so many more acts, both rising underground producers, and established legends.
The festival is nestled nicely in a clearing within Carreglwyd woods, which is a beautiful and remote setting which is perfectly suitable for letting your wild side out. Whether you are a die-hard party animal or a casual camper, Gottwood has something to tickle your fancy. Great to relax, party and meet like-minded people.
The festival is in the middle of nowhere, so you are completely free from reality and the outside world, leaving you to enjoy immersion in the camping environment and get lost in the music. Now running its 4th year, the festival always has a staggering reception when it kicks off on the summer solstice on June 20-23. This is something that you will remember for a long time, and still retains the pure spirit of the festival experience.
This year’s Gottwood is set to be the best yet, with more surprises and treats than ever before, gaining more and more momentum since its conception in 2009, featuring some of the most innovative and talked about alternative acts that are growing all the time, so there’s something for everyone. Gottwood isn’t just about the music, featuring art which decorates the whole of the woods, bringing new and independent thinking artists in to get involved.
Needless to say, whether you are an experienced party-head or new to the festival scene, you’ll fit right in at Gottwood.
