The Machynlleth Comedy Festival 2015 is a three-day comedy festival which will run from Friday 1st -3rd May 2015. Taking place in the heart of Wales, the weekend of stand-up comedy brings an array of comedians, a festival food stall and bar, as well as the opportunity to explore the enchanting town of Machynlleth.
This year the annual Showcase event will be held on both the Friday and the Saturday after continuous high demand each year. Each event will be expected to sell out just as fast, even with double the amount of tickets, so it is advised to get in there fast and get booking! Names such as Josh Widdicombe, Matt Richardson and Lou Sanders will be giving performances, amongst an array of other comedians and artists.
If you want to attend this three-day extravaganza of laughter and pure-gold comedy, then Dolffanog Fach Bed and Breakfast in Snowdonia is the place to book yourself in for the night. The owners of the B&B are big lovers of comedy and will be attending the festival, but their rooms are still available to book during the weekend event. They will not be offering evening meals and suppers during these three days, but will be offering late breakfast for those who stay up until the early morning to join in with all the festival activities. Prices start from £160 for two nights with the rooms Blyton, Rowling and Awdry available.
Additionally, if you wish to have a relaxing night away before the festival begins then Sarah and Carl from Dolffanog Fach welcome you to book an extra night on the Thursday for just £50, with an evening meal available at £20 per person for the same evening. If you would like to book your weekend stay with Dolffanog Fach, then please be reminded that bookings for this specific weekend can only be taken over the phone. If you wish to book your stay with them for any other day or retreat, then this is available to do so through their website.
If you’re looking for a different kind of retreat for a relaxing weekend break away, then check out their additional offers such as the Foodie Retreat, Railway Retreat and Celebration Retreat.
