Up to 200 Classic MG Cars are going to strut their stuff along the equally classic Llandudno’s Victorian Promenade. On the 21st of August, the parade will take place from 08:15 AM until 10:30. Then the car’s real adventure begins, they will all make the journey of 100 miles from the Stoney shores of Llandudno to the foot of the grand mountain of yr Wyddfa: Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales.
This awesome event is all for charity. The Snowdon MG Run will donate all funds raised to Marie Curie which is a fantastic cause. In the past The Llandudno MG club organise an awesome run with entrants as far away as Holland joining in on the fun.
Car enthusiasts will be thrilled to find that these cars will be out on display for a couple hours for you to drool over. (Not literally, please). MG cars are collector’s favourite as you will see if you get down to the promenade for a morning of cars and class.
The cars will then cruise across 100 miles of unparalleled Welsh countryside as they approach the foot of the great mountain of Snowdon.
Those sitting at the right spots in Snowdonia might be treated to the majestic view of two hundred MGs sweeping across the mountain rounds on their way to their final goal.
This annual collective of MGs happens year after year and is an absolutely awesome event for drivers and spectators alike. The drive will come to an end at the gloriously gorgeous valley town of Betws-y-Coed, where we’re sure the MG drivers will enjoy a lovely meal at one of the brilliant resteraunts. Perhaps they’ll spend the night in one of the amazing Snowdonia hotels there is on offer.
If you’re keen to see the cars, get down bright and early to see MGs from the distant and recent past in fantastic condition.
