Gottwood

This year’s Gottwood was better than ever, the sun gods graced the festival with 3 days of glorious shine! What has been called the UK’s best kept secret, full of free spirits who enjoy electronic music! The amazing artwork that adorns the site was certainly up to the festival’s consistantly hight standards, with oversized couches, murals, marvellous food stalls, and more house music than you can shake a stick at.

If you’re a fan of House and Tech music and gutted you missed out this year, don’t worry! It will be here again next year! what? You can’t wait that long? I have just the solution, keep scrolling down the page for Festival Number 6, where Gottwood will be hosting ‘The Grove’, experience a little of the festival while attending another festival – perfect.

Gottwood’s been gaining more and more momentum since its conception in 2009, so 2015 you can expect the best year of the woods yet!

Festival Number 6

You may be pondering the name of this festival, why ‘Number 6?’. Fans of the cult TV show ‘The Prisoner’ will know that the protagonist was allocated this number. The Prisoner was filmed in the resort of Porth Merion, which is where this festival takes place. Think you get it now? The entire festival is actually themed after The Prisoner, with giant games of chess, eerie parades, and fancy dress. Going to this festival is a lot like stepping right into the TV show, with the exception of the fact that the TV show didnt include music legend, the great Beck!

Don’t forget this is a music festival, so while past years have been lucky enough to feature Primal Scream, Chic, Manic Street Preachers this year has the absolute hero which is Beck, you’ll probably remember him from his hit singles ‘Loser’ , ‘Devil’s Haircut’, and ‘E-pro’. Beck’s just released a new album ‘Morning Phase’ with single ‘Blue Moon’ so you’ll be undoubtedly in for some material both old and new. Don’t miss out on Beck ‘getting crazy with the cheese whizz’.

Also set to appear are praised Psychedelic newcomers ‘Temples’ who promise to dazzle your mind with crisp guitar tunes and trippy effects. Sharing Beck’s headline title is The London Grammer and the Petshop Boys who both have massive fanbases and sure to cause a stir!
