Leading racers from across the globe are set to descend on Snowdonia in North Wales this November for the Wales Rally GB – a pivotal moment for anyone wanting to take home the FIA World Rally Championship.

There will be seldom be time for the racers to take in the glorious Welsh landscape as they roar along it, eager to cement their place in history by competing over challenging stages all across the region. The action starts on the beautiful Conwy Quay with each racer doubtless to want to make their mark early. As darkness sets, the challengers are expected to race in the harsh conditions across Gwydyr, Penmachno and Claenog. The excitement continues the following day with time trials through Hafren, Sweet Lamb and Myherin sure to scintillate the watching crowd.

Night Rally

A night rally will be one of the stages this year

As the pecking order begins to settle itself on Saturday, further fierce competition is a definite as the racers blast their way through the beautiful Dolgellau and onwards to Deeside before starting a difficult stage in the tumultuous terrain of Dyfnant.  A highly-charged dash around Chirk Castle is the finale on what is sure to be a tense day for racers and spectators.

There’s no doubting the fitting nature of the grand finale itself as the competitors are due to speed their way across the iconic Great Orme: the hugely popular yet dangerous attraction in Llandudno. Before this, they are expected to negotiate the tricky section of Kimmel Park prior the final stage and with the winner expected to be announced in a close call, it is not to be missed.

If all this sounds like a fantastic day out for you then you are in luck with the first two stages of this epic event catering for your entertainment with a big screen available to those unfortunate not to be right up with the action, food village, a Rally Dome and shows aimed at keeping the kids entertained over the 14th to 17th of November.

Fantastic for the surrounding community, Wales Rally GB is expected to draw huge crowds to the regions with tourists expected in their plenty – an excellent boost to the profile of North Wales along with all the recent sports coups of late.

A great remedy for the autumn cool, this adrenaline-fuelled event is sure to excite and to enthral from start to finish.
