Snowdonia is a region in North Wales which boasts beautiful scenes of the Snowdonia Mountains, national parks and stunning landscapes. The English name for the area derives from Snowdon, which is the highest mountain in Wales standing at 3,560ft. Snowdonia National Park was established in 1951 as the third national park in Britain, following the Peak District and the Lake District.
