Thousands of music fans flocked to Colwyn Bay on the weekend to enjoy a line-up of the most frequent musical talent the country has to offer.

When the line-up was announced and the spectacular Little Mix was announced to be headlining the event, the Access All Eirias organisers deserved a pat on the back. However, they didn’t stop there. The addition of Conor Maynard, Wiley, The Overtones, Rhydian and The Loveable Rogues really bulked up the star studded event schedule, before the icing was placed on the top in the form of Tenors of Rock and West End star Sophie Evans.

The event was set up by a the Conwy County Borough Council and independent music promoter Orchard, who in collaboration managed set the event up to succeed last years excellent show. Cllr Graham Rees, Conwy’s cabinet member for tourism, marketing and leisure hailed Parc Eirias as a great venue for an event like this. “We are very proud that Access All Eirias has provided another weekend of great family entertainment and it was excellent to see so many people enjoying themselves”.

The event is currently set up as an event that is funded through the Conwy Council. Past and projected success will mean that eventually the event will be running as a self sustaining event that will overall prove to be a fantastic economic and entertaining boost to the Colwyn Bay and North Wales area.

The weather was fantastic as music fans enjoyed the line-up during the weekend of 20th-21st July 2013, and brought a real holiday and fun-themed vibe throughout the town. For those that didn’t make it this year, keep your eyes peeled for announcements regarding the events next year, along with line-ups and tickets.

After Saturday’s concert, the Real Radio presenter Simon Jagger tweeted: “We had an amazing day at Access all Eirias in Colwyn Bay. And the crowd looked amazing. Thanks for the warm welcome.”

The Overtones tweeted: “North Wales is absolutely beautiful! Never been here before, and would come back in a flash. Love and thanks to Conwy for a great night.”
