Hear Ye, Hear Ye – Llandudno is looking for a new town crier to serve the town!

Anyone fancying themselves as Llandudno’s new town crier are invited to dust off their vocal chords and go and take part in the town crier trials during the Victorian Extravaganza in Llandudno this May Bank Holiday Weekend.

Candidates age 18 and over can attend the tryouts that will be held at the main stage at the Cenotaph on Llandudno Promenade at 2:30pm on Saturday, May 4th. The new town crier will be provided with expert tuition by Anthony Church, who is the town crier of Oxford and Banbury.

The position for the Llandudno Town Crier became vacant after the popular David Gwynford Price sadly died, who loved playing his part in the local community. He held the town crier role for more than 10 years – and the committee are hoping to find and appoint someone who can become equally as popular and good at their job with the locals of the area.

For more information, call the Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza secretary David Mann on 01492 872688.
