Every year the Welsh seaside resort of Abersoch sees thousands flock to the largest wakeboard festival in Europe! Today is the first day of music, with chart topping success BASTILLE headlining the main stages, sure to send crowds wild with their hits Pompeii and Laura Palmer! Also set to rock the festival grounds is electronic project Magnetic Man which features producers Benga, Skream and Artwork, also not to be missed today is roughneck rapper Wiley and indie rocknrollers The 1975! Appearing later this week is Rudimental, James, Example, Twin Atlantic, Zane Lowe and Kids in Glass Houses.
But of course it’s not all about the music! The Wakeboarding competition is in full swing with 3 venues for wakeboarding over 4 days! The main event is in Pwllheli Marina which is just less than 2 miles from the festival grounds, with shuttle busses going straight to the site! Don’t miss out on seeing some of the best riders from all over the world compete over thrilling jumps and rails!
Just because it’s kicked off already doesn’t mean it isn’t too late to join in! Tickets are still available, get yourself down there and get stuck into all this fun on this lovely sunny weekend! You couldn’t ask for better weather and you are sure to have an incredible time!
Weather its chart topping music, heart stopping stunts or just camping out in the Welsh sunshine with your friends; this year’s WakeStock is the place to be!
Highlights will be shown on S4C in the future, don’t miss the chance to catch yourself rocking out!
