As the sun sets ever earlier in the evenings and the dreaded turning back of the clocks nears, you could be forgiven for not wanting to venture outside and stay wrapped up warm with a cup of tea. Yet with so many fantastic events in North Wales, it could be time to put on that raincoat and get involved!
The big event of the pre-Christmas calendar is of course Bonfire Night and there are so many wonderful fireworks display in the region to enjoy that even the adults could be forgiven for lighting up a sparkler or two.

As pyrotechnics light the sky across the country, North Wales is set to make a very impressive mark on horizon with amazing events on from Llandudno to Llanberis – make sure you attend with your family for an unforgettable Bonfire Night.
Elsewhere, although the music festival scene has quietened down for another year, there’s still the North Wales Choral Festival to look forward to. Being a beloved occasion that celebrates only the finest in its genre, this festival will reach its 25th anniversary in 2013 and is all set to hit the high notes with fans and newcomers alike. Make a journey to the seaside town of Llandudno over the 8th to 10th of November for an event unlike any other in Wales.
An altogether different festival is to be had at Venue Cymru on the 30st of November with Sunday’s event-packed Cariad Ink Festival carrying on from its earlier success in February. A melting pot for the alternative scene, this burgeoning occasion looks like being an even bigger hit than before with live music and revered tattooists looking to make their mark on Llandudno. If you’re interested in ink or body modification, this is definitely the place to be.
Make your way to the Denbigh Plum Festival this November with the family and you’ll be in for a treat. A town renowned for its unique plums, Denbigh offers far more than just fruit to sink your teeth into when it provides fun activities for all ages on the 2nd to 3rd of this month.
When the cars cross the finish line at the Welsh Rally GB, a fierce and enjoyable competition is sure to have been enjoyed by all spectators. This great occasion is quite the coup for the area as this is seen as a marquee event for rallying worldwide and you could very well be a part of it whether you watch on from Snowdonia or The Great Orme. Book your tickets now to avoid disappointment when the 14th of November rolls around!
There are also always brilliant events going on at several theatres around the area, as there is all year round. Venue Cymru plays host to a glittering array of famous names and performers with the likes of Jane McDonald and the Russian State Ballet looking to make their mark. Fantastic films are also on throughout the month and so much more. Galeri Caernarfon is another hotspot for drama in North Wales and there’s so much talent to look forward to with original plays and beloved adaptations to enjoy all throughout November.
