Wrexham’s annual Christmas Market has become an eagerly awaited event year after year. The event attracts thousands of visitors from across the county and even sees people making the trip from other parts of the UK.

Date: Thursday 13th December 2012

Time: 12 noon until 8pm

This year’s Christmas market will see the stalls and décor all themed to the Victorian era, where visitors will get the opportunity to check out over 70 stalls all brimming with festive joy. This market is the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit whilst enjoying a spot of shopping, where you’ll find all kinds of unique, special gifts.

The stalls registered to trade on the Christmas market, include traders selling handmade toys, candles, clothing & accessories, jewelry, books, cards, crafts and freshly cut trees! Don’t worry about food and drink before you come, as there will be a huge range of local producers hoping to dazzle your taste buds with their Christmas produce; including turkey, pies, sausages, cakes, sweets, chocolates, welsh cakes, sauces, fruit and local Christmas ales! You’ll be left with your mouth watering when you see and smell the German sausages, festive mince pies, mulled wine and roasted chestnuts!

Located in the very special Wrexham town square, the market will be bustling with festivity and a huge range of people making the trip to check out what’s happening! As the market becomes cast in darkness, the Christmas Fayre will take up a magical look, with twinkling lights adding a very special effect to get you excited for Christmas! Not only does the market take place in the town square, but it spills over into the magnificent parish church of St Giles, which offers itself as a place of warmth to those who may get a little chilly! Within this church, you will find a further range of stalls, refreshments, music and carols – all of which are part of the day and are popular amongst visitors soaking up the festive atmosphere.

To get involved in this magnificent day and evening event, you won’t need to pay a penny! Entrance is free and the Christmas market is open from 12 noon until 8pm on Thursday 13th December 2012.
